Emergency Vet
The Austin is an emergency and specialist centre. We provide emergency and immediate medical attention for pets 24 hours 365 days per year (including weekends and public holidays).
Our dedicated team of experienced vets and nurses is available 24 hours every day including public holidays.
We encourage the booking of appointments via phone 08 8166 383.
Upon arrival at our clinic, you will be triaged by one of our vets or nurses. Depending on how busy we are, there may be a slight wait - we ask for your patience and understanding as we provide urgent care for all of our patients.
You will consult with one of our vets to provide treatment and discuss all options. These options may include on-the-spot treatment, overnight hospitalisation and care, and/or transfer back to the primary care veterinarian on the next business day.
Who is Austin?
About The Austin
We are proudly independent and South Australian family-owned, and therefore have the ability to do things differently. And we do (for example: we named our centre after our cat!).
As a constant companion throughout vet school, our first ventures as a vet and the beginning of our specialty training, “Big Man” Austin was always there with his soft paws, big heart and loud purr. His relaxed, laidback demeanour brought a bit of Australia with us when we went overseas to pursue further education.
Never shy to indicate he was hungry, nor shy on snuggles Austin was witness to almost two decades of our lives. His passing left a hole in our hearts.
It only seemed fitting to honour this venture with his name. In this way, we hope to bring a bit of “Austin” magic to your lives too! After all, it is what he would have wanted!
